A friend passed on tonight, after three days in a coma. He was riding his motorcycle home in the rain with a friend following in a car. When he slowed down to turn into his driveway the friend couldn't stop in time and struck him. His helmet was not securely fastened and he ended up with severe brain trauma, enough to make any positive outcome impossible. After consultation with his wife and family his physicians removed him from life support late this afternoon and he began the next step in his journey shortly after sundown.

I wish he could have experienced the huge outpouring of love and support from all over the United States and Canada. Mischka was a master metal worker, a warrior, a friend and an inspiration to people from many walks of life. He was an artist of brilliance and intensity who shared his passion and joy with anyone who would learn. He will be missed.

Tonight another star has been added to the mantle of night. May your journey be light and filled with the love you deserve, my friend.
