Line of Battle

The British Navy perfected a battle tactic during the Napoleonic Wars involving lining up all their battle ships in a strict "line of battle" and sailing along side an enemy fleet, with each ship firing as many broadsides at the enemy as time and speed would allow. These Canadian geese just put me in mind of it today.
